The Central Bank of Jordan has recently launched the fifth issue of the 50-JOD banknote for public use, and to educate our customers about the details of the new issue, we list for you the most prominent security signs of this category (50 Jordanian dinars) as follows:
Watermark The watermarks correspond to the printed image of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein that appears on the obverse of the banknote, in addition to a lighter colored area with 50 and the denomination value in Arabic letters, and this can be seen on both sides of the banknote
Hidden Category Number When you lift the banknote in front of the light, you see the denomination number 50 visible
Security Thread On the back of the banknote, you can see the three-dimensional security thread visible on the banknote’s surface The royal crown and the number 50 move with the tilt of the banknote
Visual Ink Effects When you tilt the banknote, you see a shape with the denomination value inside it changing from violet to green, and a double ring moves around the center on the face of the note
The Prominent Ink The distinctive embossed printing of authentic banknotes is distributed over different areas of the banknote, and it can be felt by passing the fingertips on the areas where they are located on the banknote, such as the name of the bank and the text of the cash denomination value in the center of the banknote on the front side
Tangible Characteristics For the blind and visually impaired, some lines and prominent points can be touched with the fingertips on both sides of the paper on the front side
